This is a great first book on Maryland. It provides simple facts such as the state symbols and basic geography. It provides pictures to accompany the simple text and a map at the end of the book. This is a great book to gain basic information about Maryland for a state report. Vanessa Brown has published nearly all of the books about the fifty states in the Bilingual Library of the United States of America collection.
