I have to say that I read this comic purely because I know the writer. And I did enjoy it, but I have a hard time separating the fact that I know Marc, I know how he speaks, and I know how he writes from the finished product. I don't know if it would flow as well or make as much sense to someone who came to it cold. The other thing is that I did read a review for the series before I read it, which added an additional layer of plot awareness.
