Books about quotations are several out there and I won't claim that this at hand is the best in the field, but certainly is a good choice about it.
Obviously I bought it quite some time ago, way before of that thing called "internet" that you must hear about it, it seems that it will become quite trendy...
...so, maybe a book about quotations seems outdated when you can find quotes about anything online.
However, as I explained you, I bought this book back then, in 1998, so don't be harsh on me.
And since I still have it the book, well, I thought it was a fair idea to comment about it.
The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers. – Henry VI
There was a little girl, and she had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead; when she was good she was very, very good, when she was bad she was horrid. -Longfellow
Every burned book enlighten the world. Emerson
Advertisements contain the only truth to be relied on in a newspaper. -Jefferson
There is no king who has not had a slave among his ancestors, and no slave who has not had a king among his. Helen Keller
They are able because they think they are able. -Virgil, Aeniad
This is a fun book to read with your best friend, or even with anyone you can laugh with, and be chagrinned with. Some quotes are silly, some are sadly true, and some are just downright puzzling.
