My son is just starting to read chapter books, this was his first one. This was the perfect book to transition him from picture books to chapter books!! He really enjoyed it, & looking forward to reading the next one!

This book is an excellent book to transition children from picture book to a chapter book, because it has characteristics of both types. It is about group of children playing at home when a gorilla with balloons and a present shows up ringing the door bell. It is also an excellent read to introduce children to mystery books.
