This book is part of the Hello Reader! series of easy read books; they have labeled it a level 1 book for preschool-grade 1. The front page of the book gives directions for parents on how to read aloud and read along with their children. But, only the most advanced young readers would be able to read this story to their parents.

The story is simple about a boy who comes up with a unique pet for bring your pet to class day.

The pictures show a multicultural group of students and the main characte

Willie gets inventive when he doesn't have a pet to bring to pet day at school. Will his hold up next to the dogs, cats and birds?

I like the Hello Reader! books in general; this one has good lessons and fun animals and we can play with worms.
