I generally love Michele Weiner-Davis' work, and women who live in sex-starved marriages will find a lot of comfort here. She explains the plight and emotions of these women well, and gets to the root of the issues of why men don't want sex.

What I was uncomfortable with, though, was that she didn't seem to take pornography seriously enough. She acknowledged that it was a big cause of men's low desire (and in my work as a marriage and sex author and blogger I'd say it's the biggest cause in men u

Good book just because there aren't many books like it. It's always the wife who doesn't want sex right? Well, wrong. It's a pretty good read, but it's very annoying to be a woman. The book tells you to take the high road in pretty much every scenario, and to change your ways that aren't getting you sex. Very frustrating, but I'm sure it works!

After finishing it, it's kind of discouraging just because it's not a cure-all, it constantly needs to be worked on, added to. Ah the married life!

The book holds 1 resounding message: be submissive, don't take it personally.

Hard to do when you're the one on the empty/non-receptive end. Over & over it repeats, let him come to terms with his issues on his own. Don't force him to accept he has any problems...bla bla bla.

The only thing I got out of this book was a headache from the author & the grin & bear it attitude.

Read this for work and it was practical for couples who are struggling with sex issues. One I can recommend and use in my practice. Written in layman's terms and easy to read.

I read this back in 2008, when it first came out,and while it didn't address the issue in my own marriage it certainly had some valuable information for women who are in a heterosexual couple that is going without sex, or without much of it.

There were some good concepts, but not an easy read as a whole.
