When I went along to the book launch for this book, and purchased a signed copy from the author, I had little idea it would prove one of those rare books which I can remember clearly many years after reading it. 'Ordinary Courage' is a thought provoking book that offers a glimpse into a little known world, yet one we often hear about.

Inspiring to say the least. Well worth reading not only for those interested in a personal account of 'human shields' in Iraq leading up to and during the Iraq War in 2003 but also to those who find solace in learning about ordinary people's struggles in living out their beliefs, in this case Mulhearn's belief in non-violence and peace.

Absolutely stunning...I was awestruck by Donna's courage and kindness..not everyone can hear the spiritual call so intently and clearly to follow it all the way. She was so articulate and vivid and it was impossible to put down the book. It's a pity that political dictators probably will never read it...
