A collection of famous debates within Judaism. Anyone who has read other Jewish texts will be familiar with some of them.

I love the idea that there is not one Jewish opinion but many and that opposing views are respected and remembered. This book outlines several important controversies. It is a short book with brief outlines of the arguments.

An invitation to Great debates that still define Judaism. The book functions mostly as a springboard to more discussion or a guidance to other books on the topics. I could see this book as being useful in starting talks at the teenage level.

It definitely gave me some things to think about! It seems, though, that it would be better in a group study situation rather than being read straight through alone...
