This is an incredibly informative how-to on everything from reducing your flow of junk mail and telemarketers to getting the best house loan. Although the AARP approval made me think it was more for Baby Boomers, I found it incredibly useful for myself as a Gen-Xer. I'm actually considering buying it.

Get off mailing lists, get on DO NOT CALL lists, bargain with car salesmen....avoid a bunch of schemes and scams...A must read for everyone who hates all the mail that comes unsolicited, telemarketers, or wants to know when to shop for cars and what to watch out for... and much, much more.

I thought it was an interesting read and I definitely learned from this book; it has some useful information. However, if you truly want to "scam-proof" your life I would recommend also looking on the Internet for tips, as some of this information may be outdated.

The ususal fare about beware of the greedy people in the U.S. as laws are updated the info gets old.

Not so much about scams as savings. It has some good ideas, but also misses a few. For example there is no discussion of the very effective credit freeze device.
