Poetry. Unjacketed, black cloth. OVER HERE is a collection of works written for farewell parties in the era of endings. These poems are culled from notebooks kept during imaginary road trips across the late empire, serving as toasts to new futures. Come inside for a strange celebration, and watch for sparks.
ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF POETRY! I don't have my copy with me now, where I am, but, when I get home I'm going to give you a sample poem that will make your wallet FLING open on its own to buy this book!
I DISCUSS THIS BOOK ON THIS VIDEO/AUDIO, DISCUSS IN PARTICULAR THE AMAZING SERIAL POEM WITHIN THE BOOK "Wounds in an Imaginary Nature Show" SEE/HEAR IT HERE: http://writing.upenn.edu/pennsound/x/...
Airy, atmospheric, sad and clear poems, 'about' things I'm sure but not exactly what. I appreciated this book best in little servings, often before bed and/or first thing in the morning, creating a meditative state by which to greet the shower/laundry/emails of the day. Cool stuff as usual from a favorite of mine.
