She was born and raised in Bakersfield, California, holds a bachelor's and master's degree from San Diego State University and lives in north San Diego county with her family.

Randomly just stumbled across this book from my youth. I haven’t thought about it in years. Also I find it so bizarre that it was written by the author of Esperanza Rising. What completely different categories these two books fall into.
