This book is fr so funny! Me and my friend were trying to make a speech out of this and it turned out to be so funny! (It's just that, it sounds a little inappropriate at the end, boo!)(Because they talk about nuts.....)

Personally, I'm not 'hooked on phonics', however this is a pleasant, easy-to-read story that has shown five-year-old Oliver that he can tackle slightly longer books successfully.

The book is advanced enough that the phonic elements are not obvious and there is a credible narrative (assuming you accept that bears and squirrels can talk) to hold a child's attention to the end.

Illustrations are also enjoyable.

This is easy reader. It's a story about learning to work for what you want and a story about learning how to share. It's a good book to read to young children.
