This cookbook uses ingredients and equipment available to the average Australian cook in the 1990s to bring a range of Vietnamese style food to the Australian table. Twenty years on the increasing availability of SE Asian foods and shops means that in some ways this book is starting to date; however the methods and basic recipes remain as reliable and interesting as ever.

Particular favourites in our family are the salads, which are always fresh and fantastic.
