I find these stories both enjoyable and informative about the times that they are set in.

A wonderful read alone story that is a part of the Kershaw sisters family saga.
Eva is looking after her terminally ill friend Alice who she loves as a mother but things take a dramatic turn when Alice's nephew Gus turns up and Alice dies leaving a startling provision in the will. Eva will inherit everything if she marries within one year of Alice's death so the natural choice to benefit both of them (at Alice's prompting and matchmaking before her death) is the wily Gus.

Alice is dying yet wants to see the woman, who she regards as a daughter,Eva, happily married with children so when her 'nephew' turns up she changes her will - basically saying to inherit Eva must marry within a year. Just before she marries the nephew, her friend dies and the nephew begins to seem dangerous despite his happy-go-lucky attitude at times. The 3rd Kershaw book and just as exciting as the other two Eva was a single girl a former school teacher . She had been looking after Alice a good friend who was dying and when she died caused a lot of problems but Eva is a Kershaw and doesn't give up read this for a fabulous read now to read book four . 5 STARS for Anna Jacobs .
