Usagi goes from village darling to castle clown, but that's not going to stop her from doing her best! She's going to get her man and become a ninja, and not even two super-skilled shinobi beauties can stop her!
Usagi is the granddaughter of the leader of a prestigious ninja village, but she's such a klutz that she's never made it out of the kiddie class. Frustrated with Usagi's lack of progress, her grandfather sends her to marry Lord Hanzo and have lots of ninja babies. But the lord has no interest in her or her childbearing potential!
Goemon and Mamezo are taken hostage by the Kanbutsu clan, and the price for their lives is an "Instant Death" poison, which Usagi must create. Their captor, however, seems intent on killing Goemon whether Usagi makes the poison or not...
She is a Japanese manga artist who does mainly shojo manga. Her works are primarily serialized in Margaret magazine, with series published in collected volumes by Shueisha, though she has also been featured in fellow Shueisha publication Ribon, as well as illustrating the novel adaptation of her own Stepping on Roses series in Cobalt.
This volume takes a darker turn! I was on edge the entire time! It it a new Arc direction a feel, with a more serious feel with the Kouga clan. Goeman has a VERY bad time in this volume. Usagi really impresses me even in the worst situations. And the ending has me prancing to get into the next volume. And I need to get other reading done first so I am mentally going crazy right now!
Exciting! Big cliffhanger! I liked the ending of the part with Suzune and her husband. It was really cute. :) I also have grown to like Hikaru. This one was pretty good, with nice art and funny scenes as usual. 5 stars. It was nice to see Usagi be slightly devious. Also, Suzune is a new favorite of mine. She's hilarious!
One of my biggest pet peeves with female characters in most books/manga is the lack of actual character development. This manga is great at showing the struggle to meet certain expectations, and the heart of not giving up.
Not my favorite volume, but I think my favorite parts of this was Goemon and Hikaru's past as well as the twist with Kotone. It's nice to see another side of her.
Such a melodramatic end to the volume though, good lord.
I appreciate how Usagi is growing more confident with herself and taking a stand. However, I’m not a fan of Hanzo. There’s little chemistry between them and I’m actually more on Team Goemon after this. I like the action in this volume!
Tail of the Moon volume 6 is my favourite volume yet everything about it makes me smile especially with the background story about Goemon and Hikaru friendship.
