The pictures were my favorite part. I'm not a native New Mexican, so I felt like I learned a lot. A lot of the mentioned people were names I recognized from elementary school titles in Albuquerque. Now I know sort of who those people were and why they were important to New Mexico. The native and Spanish influence with the culture is something that no other state has, which makes it special. It was fun to read how the difference people and influences happened and when they were a part of the state history.
