90s "country kitchen" style, a tendency toward packed-ness, and maybe even the overwrought Laura Ashley vibe are alive and well in this tome rather than the simple / primitive style that comes to mind nowadays when you think of "colonial" entertaining. But there are some beautiful examples of wreaths used in Colonial Williamsburg from local materials, some good recipes that I've bookmarked, and I loved how the book was organized by season (why don't all entertaining books do this?). Worth a look if you're ever near a copy, for sure.
