This manga was surprisingly captivating! I could not put it down. The relationship between the characters is unique.

Like Wolf's Rain, I thought the overall idea of the story was interesting (but not as interesting as Wolf's Rain) and a little confusing. I felt like I was missing something, and while the fight scenes were pretty cool, there was something about it that felt a little...lackluster? The story just didn't catch my interest, and I felt like we didn't get the whole story. Rather typical story: boy with powerful sword seeks revenge for the death of his teacher. There's a "larger" story going on, but it's all part of the same thing. Pulpy stuff most people expect from the genre.

The artwork is good, but the fight scenes and depiction of magic were definitely lackluster. All in all, a good run-of-the-mill swords and sorcery book. But... there is better stuff out there.

Recommends it for: non-discriminating manga fans?

The title was the only thing about this book that I found appealing. I don't think I get manga.
