“The more she tried not to like Zane, the more she seemed to be falling for him.”

This was a YA paranormal story, about a boy hired to fight paranormal creatures.

Logan was an okay character, and he was brave enough to go for a job which he didn’t really know much about in order to survive.

The storyline in this was about Logan taking a job which turned out to involve fighting paranormal creatures, and we got some o
This book took me by surprise! I was expecting expecting a fun, lighthearted supernatural book for a quick one time read. What I got was so much more...

This book is mainly written from our the point of view of Logan, a young man who is disconnected from his parents due to an incident. He loses his job and comes across a unique offer. Leave the life he knows behind and move to an estate where he receives room and board in returning for training and being willing to fight supernatural creatures on

First off, let me thank Jade Fowler for providing a copy of the ebook for free in exchange for a fair review.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The beginning was a little slow. It didn't hook me in right away, and had I not agreed to review it I might have given up on it. But I'm glad I didn't. It wasn't blast my socks off amazing, but it was a good book. At times it felt long, but for the most part held my attention well.

And though the beginning was slow, it also gave me an appreciation fo

I have no idea how to write this review. I am still not sure whether I totally hated this book, mildly hated this book, found it okay, enjoyed it or thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm sticking with the middle option for now.

This book was totally different from what the blurb made me expect. I was expecting a book with lots of paranormal mystery, creepy creatures, bloody gory and violent fights and romance between Penny and Logan. Guess where my expectations were shoved to while read

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review in a read to review challenge and I am so glad I got to be a part of this because this book was fantastic, full of mystery, drama, secrets and even a little romance, I was pulled in from page one and loved the journey this book took me on. I cried a few times, laughed and was shocked over and over just a simply awesome read.

I loved the idea behind the story... 20 year old Logan is in desperate need of

I received this book free from the author in a Read 2 review challenge, in exchange for an honest review.
I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was amazing. It was new age, but easy to read and connect like a YA. I reminded me of Hex hall by Rachel Hawkins because it was in a "school setting" with a bunch of different paranormal groups. But it was also like Kelley Armstrong's Darkest Power series, where the characters were "being held captive" then " escaping their enemy".

I LOVE this book! I received a copy as part of a Read 4 Review opportunity, in exchange for an honest review, and I'm so glad I did, because I probably wouldn't have come across it otherwise.

I love the story in this book- it's original and new. It's all very realistic, and very refreshing. With so many different mythological creatures together under one roof, this story is full of excitement and adventure. The reactions and situations that arise from so many creatures (some who are mortal enemi

"Oh no!!! You cannot not do this to me. You cannot finish the book like that. Don't you dare leave me hanging out for book 2. How can you do that to me Jade Fowler?"
These were the words going through my head as I read the last chapter. I was not ready for the book to finish and want more.

I am not into paranormal fantasy books but after reading 'Into the Night' I am converted. I am so glad I was given the opportunity to read this book as a Read to Review.

*SPOILER ALERT* - read at your own risk...if you dare!

The book was given to me in exchange of an honest review, so here we go…
First of all, I really wished I could give a better rate to this one, because I truly liked it. The main concept was innovative and interesting, and the basic gapes were successfully filled, like how Thomas got so rich, Penny’s adoption, Pepper’s story, Logan’s past, among other things.
So, basically, a house that hosts battles between supernatural creatures and “soldie

Into the Night was way better than I expected it to be. I'm a bit apprehensive reading books about so many supernatural beings because in the past I haven't seen it done very well. There's often no solid story, or the characters don't actually have any characteristics.

In this case, there was a bit of the author telling me what was happening rather than showing me. And maybe I missed it, but I don't actually remember getting a description of many of the characters, including Logan. Even Gerard I

Into The Night’s blurb intrigued me, not only because this story was told from a male’s point of view, but just the entire premise.

I mean the thought of just a compound, where an individual can go and get a job battling the “monsters” It intrigued me. I had never seen anything as of yet with this fresh concept; what immediately came in my mind was Twilight meets Hunger Games…which are my two favorites.

But once I began reading Into The Night it became its own.

Okay, so I'm going to try really, really hard to not just blather about how much I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. But just for the record, I can't wait! It's been a long time since I've just stumbled on a book like this -- one that has me this immersed and is this well-crafted -- without it being by a big name author. I love feeling that sense of discovery, like I've unearthed something no one else has heard of. Yet. Hopefully it's onl

Enveloped by financial desperation, twenty year old Logan agrees to take a job he knows little about. And that’s when his world is turned upside down.

Scary day dreams. Undisclosed family tragedy. A mysterious new job opportunity. There is a lot going on to intrigue the reader into entering the alluring world of recently unemployed Logan.

Although stretching believability a tad, I found the story refreshing. At a time where YA novels are churning out generic replicas of the same idea, I th

I was gifted a free copy of this book through a Read 4 Review program on Goodreads. I liked this story. The plot was interesting and different, a guy named Logan needs a job and he finds a mysterious ad looking for someone to help display a collection in exchange for payment, room and meals. He takes the job which ends up being a job in which he has to fight supernatural beings, which are the collection, including werewolves, leprechauns, vampires, zombies, etc.

Disclaimer: My ratings reflect my own opinion and they are really what you read when you hover over the stars... therefore this book 'was okay' which means I didn't hate it.

I have real mixed feelings about this book for a variety of reasons.

This book was picked for me to read as part of a buddy challenge and I really wanted to like it, because my partner liked it very much.

I think this writer has potential. There were things in the story I found I liked and it even got me teary at one point, but

This is a book I received from the author in exchange for a review.
This book was great in so many ways, predictable in so many ways and awful in a few ways.
Let me start with what was awful. Please, fire your editor. This story could have been great but I would constantly get caught up in trying to figure out why an editor would let poor sentence structure completely take away from this novel. The transitions were rough. There were a few times I wanted to rip my hair out because something was re

The description of the book got me interested right away. I immediately wanted to read Into the Night.

It's really a story of Logan and Penny, whom he only encounters due to his new job. They become friends and I enjoyed that the two main characters weren't involved with each other. That they were actually friends, and not a love interest. Anyhow, like I was saying, they become friends. Penny is human, but with psychic abilities, and even though Logan has some issues with Penny being able to kno

Into the night is a new twist on the YA Paranormal genre. I highly enjoyed the concept of the story and the characters but found the writing to be a little simplistic for my liking. Don’t get me wrong, the writing wasn’t terrible. As the story progressed, so did the quality of the writing. I do believe that Jade Fowler will find a stronger voice as she continues this series

Logan seems a bit awkward for someone his age but it is effective at making his character more endearing to the reader. I h

this is one of the most amazing and most wonderfully original debuts i have read in ages. i admit i found the beginning a tad slow and i would giggle quietly to myself at every mention of smell because no other book i have read describes smell quite as much as this one But it did not take long before i was anxiously turning the pages to discover what happens next. This story is a story of modern day gladiators and of course killing wild animals is boring so instead they go up against some of

Such an interesting concept and I liked the idea of how this book started with a boy looking for a job and he got more than he bargained for. Unfortunately Logan did not inspire me as nothing was revealed about his past in the early pages and apart from his relationship with Penny, he did not forge any real bond with the others. I think if I had learned about the tragic event in his life in the beginning, he would have seemed more likable. I was more interested in Penny and Zane, how their relat ...more

This book is amazing! Well written, descriptive, and a clever balance of humor, sadness, romance, mystery, deception, betrayal, and much more (vampires, werewolves, romance, mystery, deception, dynamic relationships - siblings, parents, grandparents, friends, etc), this book truly has it all.

Although for the most part the story is serious, there are some heart-wrenching scenes that definitely made me cry. I felt that the characters were all different enough, ad more importantly, were characters

First I want to thank the author for this which I received for free in exchange for a honest review.

I feel this book had a lot of good things going for it. First was a good and interesting idea and believable world. I could imagine a rich guy with his weird collection. The main character was interesting, haunted from his past, but I did find it frustrating that we didn't find out what was haunting him until the end.

I wished the other characters were a little more fleshed out, half seemed just t

So I was kind of expecting more from this book but in the end it was just okay. There wasn't anything wrong with this book it just didn't connect with me. Logan was nice, Penny was nice, and that was kind of the problem everyone had their roles but there just wasn't anything surprising in the story. As soon as the story got started and Logan got to the house it followed a fairly predictable plot line. What could've been surprising is when Penny died but because for like the last 4 chapters she'd ...more
I received this as an ebook for Read 4 Review.

I enjoyed this book an original intriguing storyline that keeps you interested and never bored. I always felt something would develop between Logan and Penny, I'm glad it didn't. With the reveal at the end with Penny I think there is more to it. And what's with the brother Jackson I think he's a little twisted.

Penny was in denial. She knew it, but she didn’t want to admit it to herself. She was going to pretend she had realized nothing last night. Sh

I would like to first off thank the author for letting me read this book for a review. I have to admit this book ended up being pretty good. It was better than I expected. The beginning was kind of blah for me. It was a really slow start. After he finally got to the estate the book started getting better for me. I really like Zane and Penny! I acquired this novel from a Read4Review that had been posted on Goodreads, and I’m so happy I did. I loved pretty much everything about this book, the characters, the plot, the writing…everything. (I LOVE that the author used the word “Wonky” which is a word used daily in the world of me) The adventure of Penny and Logan will keep you on your toes and you will speed your way through this book…and then find yourself waiting on the edge of your seat for the sequel. Jade Fowler has always had a passion for both writing and reading. At the age of ten, she wrote her first horror story and has been writing ever since. She buys way too many books, watches way too much TV, and loves her dog, Nessie.
