I read this book years ago when I lived in a much milder climate than where I currently live. This book excited me with ideas for a home landscape with year round interest. Alas, I now live in a place with much colder winters and far fewer options for plants. I'm not complaining, merely pointing out that this book is much less relevant for me now.
