This is a good story-telling read-aloud book for the classroom. The idea behind the book is coping with fear. In the setting of the classroom, I believe this book would be a good example of literature but also that it is okay to fear and be afraid.
Ric and Rac encounter multiple scenarios of frightful things that end up teaching them. Throughout the story, they are learning lessons from each scare. They are on a journey to learn about the positive and negative sides of fear in a magical forest with cute animals that attract the readers eyes.
There is a lot of quotations in this book and would recommend to a higher level reader.
