When it comes to prayer, we second guess God. We look for the "catch" and in general, we make it harder than it was meant to be. This book is not about formulas or recipes for prayer. It is about recognizing the truth and letting the truth set you free.
This has been my morning devotional for a few months. It was an interesting look at the different styles of prayer. The title was what caught my eye and made me read it!
Loved this book and let me tell you why... This book taught me that there are several different ways to pray... there isn't just one way. Ever since moving to Atlanta, I've noticed how spiritual I've become and a lot of this has to do with a lot of the hardships that I faced upon moving down here. I didn't know how I was going to survive these Atlanta streets without my family and my closest friends but if it was one thing that I knew would get me through it was most definitely by going to church and praying. Now I didn't fully understand how to pray and its purpose. To this day I am still trying to get myself to pray often and to do so with Purpose. This book taught me the different kinds of pray-ers in the world, how I can pray and also how to build my relationship with God. This book is great if you're new to praying and if you are in need of building your relationship with HIM! Enjoy because Prayers, Pray-ers matter!
Good book. Easy to understand & apply. Humorous. He writes "Trust in Him, not your own schemes and devices. Keep in mind it is not up to you to produce anything; you must only participate." PTL
