Howard W. Stone, Ph.D., is a psychologist, marriage and family therapist, a pastoral counselor, the author or editor of many books in the Fortress Press Creative Pastoral Care and Counseling series, and a professor emeritus at Texas Christian University.
While the concept of this book is good, and the author’s understanding of the suffering soul is strong, his reliance on a technique called “verbatims” concerns me. My training as a lawyer suggests that those with in parish ministry should be cautious in there use.
