Every principal should have two copies of this book; one for themselves and one to loan out to colleagues who haven't read my review. Not only does it explain literacy terms, concepts, and offer program exemplars, it provides a literacy specific observation feedback example, look-out-for-this lists to use during observations (literally copy the book page(s) and walk the building, ok?), and stories from other principals who are leading literacy.
