This book outlines the principles behind the international law of foreign investment. The main focus is on the law governed by bilateral and multilateral investment treaties. A solid survey of major cases on crucial questions in investment arbitration, but—given that both authors are famous arbitrators—it would be even more valuable if they brought in personal experiences from the cases they have dealt with in the past (to the extent possible from a confidentiality perspective, of course).
