Death Valley's Scotty's Castle: The Story Behind the Scenery

Rate this book
Scotty's Castle, an imposing two-story Spanish villa in Grapevine Canyon near the north end of Death Valley, seems as much in harmony with its locale as are the cottonwood, mesquite, and stunted cactus that dot the wrinkled brown side of its canyon setting. Scotty's Castle, located at the northern end of Death Valley National Park in eastern California, was purchased by the National Park Service in 1970.
