Nice short read.

A story about a girl, Lucy, who loves her scruffy, long, crazy hair. However, he parents don't like to so much and her mom decides to trim it. But, when the dog runs off and scares the mom, she accidentally cuts Lucy's hair VERY short! But, the mom had promised Lucy that if she didn't like her haircut then Lucy could cut her hair. So, Lucy cuts her mom's hair very short. They both are very anxious and sad but then they decide to use hair-gel to make their bad hair cuts look good! This book has tons of great pictures as well. A fun read.

I really loved this book. At first, I thought it was going to be a bad one, but it turned out to be really cute and funny. I love how the mom made a promise and stuck to it even if it meant making herself look bad. It showed the close bond the mother and daughter had. I would not read this to children who are about to get a haircut because they may fear getting a haircut after reading this book.

Sydney brought this home from her school library and its a hit. Kind of long, but getting your hair done is kind of a big deal/ordeal in our house, so we could relate to Lucy and her parents. Really cute story.
