This is an average boss/secretary romance that I downgraded for these reasons:
1. Self-pitying title.
Heroine is hero’s PA – she’s a blonde bombshell under those glasses and boxy suits. She’s “unnoticed” for about two seconds until the hero takes her to a party as a last-minute substitute date. She’s had a change of clothes and ditches the glasses and now the hero is smitten.
2. Overwritten.
Pages of interior monologues about losing her virginity, about the hero’s hatred of his nobleman father who never acknowledged him, about how the playboy is really a soft touch because he rescued a kitten. Can’t an author just show us rescuing the kitten without the heroine spelling out how touched she is?
3. Not sold on the premise:
Hero thinks only he can race his motorbike in 18 races to keep his motorcycle manufacturing company afloat. *spoiler* He gives it up for the heroine after one race and his company is more profitable than ever.
Heroine is estranged from her family and has *changed her name* because she sent her high school boyfriend a naked selfie 8 years ago and it’s still on the internet. What? Who cares? And who could find such a photo now unless it’s very well-tagged on a website that’s still going. 8 years is an ice age in internet time.
4. No resolution:
The heroine’s estrangement from her parents is never resolved. Nor the hero’s. HEA rests on the H/h *forgetting* all their hangups rather than resolving them.

Faith wears ugly suits and works as a PA to Renzo, who is a sexy billionaire motorcycle riding champion and global motorcycle company businessman. He has a lot going on. Renzo is Italian and has a terrible dad who had an affair with Renzo’s sweet mother, but refused to acknowledge Renzo.
Renzo’s dad may be why sweet HP heroines think it’s perfectly ok to have secret babies, although Renzo is critical of his mother and thinks she’s a pushover for not demanding her ights, which is another thing a sweet HP heroine would never do.
Anyway, Renzo had an accident and his doctors told him that he’d never ride again, but he proved them wrong. Now he wants to continue proving them wrong, even though his leg’s getting a bit sore. He’s just going to ignore that, because he has bigger problems. His girlfriend has taken to leaving her pink razor on his shower shelf. Worse, she’s also leaving replacement blades. This is anathema to Renzo. How dare she assume that they are in a committed relationship that will last long enough for her to blunt at least one set of blades? He’s not having it. And this is a useful lesson for dealing with commitment-phobic heroes: when subtly suggesting that you want to keep shaving in his bathroom, don’t leave replacement blades lying around. They will get you kicked to the curb every time.
Now, Renzo has a problem. He has to go to a swanky party, and there’s a sexually aggressive woman who will be there and he particularly wants to avoid her. So he orders plain Faith the PA to be his date.
Fortunately for any of us who feel it would be impossible to respect her if it were otherwise, Faith hasn’t been secretly longing for this day. Renzo’s really not what Faith is looking for. She takes some persuading. Renzo persuades, Faith gets herself a new dress and shoes and a bit of makeup at his expense, and off they go.
Renzo is suitably impressed by Faith’s swanning transformation into a hot little package. She’s bangable. Why has it taken him five months to discover this? Sure, her dress is a bit flowy and modest at the neckline, but if he plays his cards right, he figures he can get himself under it in the next couple of hours. But this doesn’t prevent him from abandoning her the moment he gets to the party. He’s off pow-wowing with his business mates, and occasionally watching Faith as she stands against a wall sipping her glass of wine.
Abandoning Faith to her own devices at fancy parties becomes a theme for their relationship. He does it at least twice more, as they trade New York swanky parties for Florentine swanky parties, and more men networking about bikes. I’ve seen this sort of thing before, and I find it fascinating. See, I’m pretty introverted and the majority of heroines, are pretty introverted. I generally assume that, by extension, authors are often pretty introverted too. I can’t imagine that any of us, fictional or not, are considering being abandoned at a party as anything other than terrifying and awful.
This whole set up is basically a lesson to introverts that fantasizing about glamming it up and going to swanky parties is not going to change the fact that it’s really uncomfortable to find yourself surrounded by a bunch of strangers with whom you have nothing in common.
What exactly is the heroine supposed to do at this party? The only person she knows is the hero. And they’re not friends. In a lot of books there’s some underlying tension because of all that sexual and romantic chemistry, and the one thing an introvert heroine is extremely unlikely to do is call a hero on his behaviour, because she (if we’re at all alike) has been taught to think that not being great at parties is completely her problem. If only she would try a little bit harder …
I feel for Faith, because I really can’t see what she can do, other than prop up a wall. None of those people had any reason to talk to her. If only Renzo had given her a mission. Some kind of ninja mission, because heroines LOVE a ninja job and will pursue it earnestly and without any shyness or concerns for personal safety.
Faith’s backstory is that something happened in her hometown and her family didn’t support her, so she’s never going back or talking to her damn dad ever again. She has a gorgeous southern accent and I really appreciate that Italian Renzo just loved it, since usually it’s the reverse. She’s competent, and I loved that her big motivation for accepting Renzo was money. She was saving to buy a house! She had long-term plans for her future, and wasn’t just drifting about waiting for her hero.
Renzo’s got all his backstory hang ups about his dad, who never acknowledged him and backed Renzo’s business rival, proving that he’s all-around nasty. He’s defensive about his injury, and insists that he’s the only who can ride his fancy new bike, and if he doesn’t his company will fall apart and the world will end. It’s a source of tension in the relationship.
I couldn’t quite get over how much Renzo took Faith for granted, and it really detracted from the romance. He transfers her from the ‘competent employee’ box to the ‘hot girl for sexy times’ box and doesn’t really do much else with it. He’s sympathetic about her backstory, but his own is so much more colourful, so it takes over. And, there’s that whole thing where he leaves Faith to her own devices at parties …

It's been a while since I have come across a Boss-PA trope in one of the more recent Modern/Presents. I was really interested to see what Lynn Raye Harris would do with such a classic theme, and I'm pleased to say that it came out brilliantly.
Lynn has really made the most out of her plot and tells a beautiful love-story. The motorcycle racing world that the book is set in is different and really well detailed, but not overly informative so.
The hero is, sigh, pretty perfect; so charming, perfectly alpha, a bit of a tart, as well as gentle and kind! The heroine has a bit of a hurtful past that makes her come across as a real, well rounded character, but my favourite thing about her is that she nice to the core.
The story benefits from not having the hero and heroine give-in-to-their-passion too early, instead there is a slow, torturous build up with sparks flying everywhere. A brilliant example of sexual tension done right!
The love-story feels natural and the whole book is beautifully written with a wonderful flow, without unnecessary over-dramatic moments.

I usually don't like slutty heroes who make the secretary buy goodbye gifts for the parade of women that pass through their lives. But I'll make an exception for Renzo cos it turns out that underneath that playboy exterior is a man with a heart of gold who likes cats and can be a real sweetheart.
Faith is a thoroughly nice girl who through one mistake, experienced the sort of humiliation that can make you lose faith in people. Sort of ironic all things considered.
As Renzo's PA is she just about perfect. It only takes one night for him to see her in an entirely different light and from then on the end result is inevitable.
This was a very enjoyable look into the world of motorcycle racing without being boringly technical. I really love Renzo and Faith and even got a bit teary at the happy ending. That last burst of emotion pushed it up to the 5 stars.

I enjoyed this one, especially the dynamic between Renzo and Faith.
Faith was an amazingly strong heroine who made a life for herself, despite a less than supportive upbringing and a silly teenage mistake. She walked away from Renzo at just the right time forcing him to confront not only his feelings for her but his own motivations.
Great flow and lovely ending, though I did think a thousand wedding guests rather excessive.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it lovely and touching. It will definitely be on my reread list.
Lorenzo D'Angeli has a problem...or should I say problems. He is gorgeous, extremely wealthy and a champion motorcycle racer who is at the top of the heap. He's a nine-time world champion and the women flock after him. He never dates a woman more than a month or so and usually dates top models and actresses. You get the picture! One particular woman is really out to reel him in and he has an idea. Ask his personal assistant to act as his girlfriend and attend public events with him to discourage all the other women.
Faith Black has risen to every challenge her boss has ever given her but she isn't too happy about playing his girlfriend. She knows how he is with women (date 'em, bed 'em, then dump 'em) and doesn't want to risk being in his company in public. Because of a terrible period in her life eight years earlier, she also doesn't want to be photographed. But what happens when our virgin heroine, Faith, turns out to be an absolute curvy knock-out when he goes to pick her up for their pretend date. When she is asked to travel with him to their office in Italy...she knows she just may be in trouble although she fights it with all she's got.
Here's what I love. A man who is so sure he will never marry or have children...by his own choice. Then WHAM! The change in him when he finally realizes he has found his perfect partner for life. To watch him fall deeper in love with her and no other woman even catches his eye. They're love was deep, and sweet, and lovely and it was a beautiful story.

Very compelling story with the motorcycle world as background, about a playboy tycoon and motorcycle racer Lorenzo and his very prim and proper PA Faith.

It all starts when Renzo asks Faith to attend a function with him. It only takes this one night for Renzo to see beneath his PA uptight exterior to her sweet and innocent nature. From there on LRH slowly builds the tension where all kinds of sparkles fly.
Renzo and Faith are wonderful characters. Faith is vulnerable yet strong. Renzo is the ultimate bad boy but he has redeemable qualities, he is kind and tender and his gentleness extends to little kittens.

Spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk
I really enjoyed the book and found myself pretty glued onto the pages for most of the story. It had many great elements that make it a good Harlequin Presents story. It had plenty of tension (sexual and otherwise), angst, it was emotional, and there were two pretty entertaining characters that were very, very likable.
Pretty much from the get go I was engrossed in the story and that pretty much had to do with the setup of it all. It definitely wasn't a new or never before done setup but with the characters of Renzo and Faith and all their personality traits and circumstances and motivations it felt fresh and interesting and entertaining.
The setup basically was Renzo, a playboy, needed a date for a work function after he just dumped his latest fling so he turned to his reliable and trustworthy Faith to fill in the role. Faith was a plain Jane, but knew how to do her job when it came to fulfilling all her boss, Renzo's needs and someone who he could count on, however she was against his playboy lifestyle and berated woman for falling for his charms, even though she was one such woman herself with her body reacting to him every time near her and she hated it and denied it while denouncing his playboy ways to his face. That intrigued Renzo, but what intrigued him more was Faith's transformation from Plain Jane to hot in the space of a day (Faith got all dressed up for the benefit that she agreed to attend with him)and immediately he was attracted to her once he saw what was beneath her shapeless suits. While even though Faith had been pretty much attracted to him from the beginning never thought she had a shot with him especially since he dated all these supermodels and heiresses with killer bodies. A killer body that Faith didn't believe that she had, or able to hold the attract of a Renzo, but she still acted as his date thinking this was a part of her job. So then went on the date, and things just took off from there. They even shared one hot kiss.
The dynamic between the two was great I thought, and I loved seeing them push each others buttons and have that type of push and pull type of relationship. It was really fun to watch. Renzo would take one step forward and she would take two back fearing what would happen if he got too close and get underneath her skin, which she knew would be a disaster for her and her heart. I liked seeing the byplay and the playfulness between the two of them where they were able to be their true selves and not hide. Just there was just a lot of cute and funny moments between these two and it was just fun to watch. They knew how to push each others buttons for sure.
The whole playfulness side of their relationship wasn't the only thing to enjoy watching play out before the page, it was also that hot, sexy chemistry that they had for one another. With the whole back and forth thing that was going on, created not only friction emotionally but sexually as well, and it made their steam double in size because of it. It was a will they won't they kind of thing, creating the anticipation as well as the heat between them. It was palatable and felt on every level as a read the words on the page. I knew they were going to have some hot and sexy times ahead for them. But I thought it was great (the build up) and they didn't just start attacking each other and throwing each others clothes off within the first thirty pages. They did kiss early on, which was very steamy and again very much anticipated, but they didn't have an intimate scene together until maybe half way through the book and their arrangement as they became closer and closer to one another. And I thought was good and really well handled, and it felt very believable. So that was great. I like the build up.
Some of the sexy scenes/anticipation scenes weren't even bedroom scenes though, one of my favorite scenes was when Faith massaged his leg, from and old injury, and just how much anticipation was there because I could tell they were both turned on by it. Just the way it was described up the sexual tension and I felt it surround them. And that was great. There were other moments like that as well like when he would brush her hand or they would be sitting close to each other that just upped the tension between them.
When they finally got to the intimate scenes there were more intense because of that anticipation because I could tell that they both wanted each other even though they knew it might have been the best idea to give into their passion, but when they did. They had some sizzling bedroom time. Their first time was just so sweet yet very hot and sexy and the same time and just really showed their connection and not just a physical level. Plus he wanted to make sure her first time was good since he knew it was her first time and he wanted to be her first lover. And it showed how much he did truly care about her in that moment, but it also all the built up tension that finally just exploded on their page as they were wrapped in each other arms. It was a very satisfying scene and a believable one and one definitely wanted to see happen since they had all this mad chemistry going on.
I enjoyed both characters and thought each of them was entertaining in their own way as well as likable. I liked that Faith wasn't a typical virginal, mouse, plain Jane heroine that shrank in corners whenever diversity arose. No, she fought and even when she was pushed down, she dusted herself back off and got right back up again to stand her ground. And that was really nice to see. I also liked about her that she didn't let Renzo get away with things and stood right up against him and held her ground despite the fact that she was deeply attracted to him. She knew how foolish that was and didn't want to be another one of his women so she denied the attraction and fought him and called him out on his lifestyle. When he did finally break down her barriers, it showed how much she did care about him and just how important that he became to her as the man that she fell in love with and show more that vulnerable side of her. I liked seeing both sides to her the softer side and the strong side, making her a complete character in my eyes. It was just amusing to see her kind of push him on ever level and try to fight their connection for a little bit. But I respected her and loved that she wasn't a pushover.
As for him, I liked his determination and strength as well as his softer side especially when it came to Faith. Yes, he was the typical alpha playboy that has graced Harlequin Presents for decades on end, but that very quickly changed once Faith transformed and he saw the women beneath finally for the first time in six months. Once he noticed her transformation he made a transformation himself where he realized his shallow relationships were no longer cutting it for him and needed something else. That connection, which he got with Faith. And once he had that realization, he did anything in his power to get her to agree to engage in an intimate physical relationship. Yes, at first it was about the physical for him but he soon realized that he needed the connection and wanted to know more about her. And aside from the beginning, he didn't demonstrate any jerky behavior where I wanted slap him or roll my eyes or believe at any time that he needed to do some major groveling to Faith. He was really a sweet guy, who just wanted to be worthy of someone after all of his life feeling unworthy because of his father's rejections, which lead to some of his actions. In the book there were some obstacles in the way before they could live happily ever after as you can imagine, which why it's a story in the first place, with some being internal conflicts while other being external ones. I stated some of them above, and those were one I liked and what made the story interesting. There were really a lot of issues going on and it wasn't a simple thing at all, but what I found was some issues either were dealt with pretty easily or I felt like didn't belong or I thought the issue would come more into play than it did, and just kind of felt like blip and almost unnecessary. I thought there would be more with the familial issues since both of them had in common with issues with fathers, and I thought that would play a role or there would be a scene to show some kind of interaction with them and show how their relationship strengthened them and they weren't going to let their daddy issue play a big part in the future like they had in the past. I would have to like to see at least one, but this issue did explain more of their motivations and where they were emotionally before they got involved and it also showed that they had that in common and could bond over that, but I still wanted to see one of the father's come onto scene and just have the confrontation. Also thought there would be more of an issue with a certain photograph and just the problems of the photograph if it ever got into the public eye especially since he was in the public eye himself. In fact I thought a certain someone was going to leak it to the press in order to cause problems for the couple, but that didn't happen but that that was kind of what was expecting. Because if that did happen then lots drama would ensue and it would have been an emotional blow to both characters. Also I thought Lissa would come more into play and cause havoc to the couple. I kind of expected it to happen and was kind of disappointed that it didn't. I think it would have made the story more interesting and have a little bit more of edge to it. Add a little more flavor of drama to the story, and not have be so easy going for the couple because once they decided to become intimate then he kind of was one bump in the road a that was about it. Almost too easy.
With all these issues not really elaborated on or shown really was what disappointed me that most and the reason I didn't give this a five stars. I just think if any of those elements were explored further it would have upped the ante and up the drama and give an extra boost in edge. Aside from that it was a pretty good story.

It just created that sexy heat that all romance novels need in order keep me totally engrossed as well as feeling like I am going on the emotional and passionate roller coaster ride that I love reading about. It's why I love romance after all, and this story was one I liked very much, not loved but liked. I enjoyed seeing the love story play out between Faith and Renzo and there were many more positives than there were negatives to this story, which was why I liked it very much. I'm glad I read it.
I really enjoyed the book and found myself pretty glued onto the pages for most of the story. It had many great elements that make it a good Harlequin Presents story. It had plenty of tension (sexual and otherwise), angst, it was emotional, and there were two pretty entertaining characters that were very, very likable.
Pretty much from the get go I was engrossed in the story and that pretty much had to do with the setup of it all. It definitely wasn't a new or never before done setup but with the characters of Renzo and Faith and all their personality traits and circumstances and motivations it felt fresh and interesting and entertaining.
The setup basically was Renzo, a playboy, needed a date for a work function after he just dumped his latest fling so he turned to his reliable and trustworthy Faith to fill in the role. Faith was a plain Jane, but knew how to do her job when it came to fulfilling all her boss, Renzo's needs and someone who he could count on, however she was against his playboy lifestyle and berated woman for falling for his charms, even though she was one such woman herself with her body reacting to him every time near her and she hated it and denied it while denouncing his playboy ways to his face. That intrigued Renzo, but what intrigued him more was Faith's transformation from Plain Jane to hot in the space of a day (Faith got all dressed up for the benefit that she agreed to attend with him)and immediately he was attracted to her once he saw what was beneath her shapeless suits. While even though Faith had been pretty much attracted to him from the beginning never thought she had a shot with him especially since he dated all these supermodels and heiresses with killer bodies. A killer body that Faith didn't believe that she had, or able to hold the attract of a Renzo, but she still acted as his date thinking this was a part of her job. So then went on the date, and things just took off from there. They even shared one hot kiss.
The dynamic between the two was great I thought, and I loved seeing them push each others buttons and have that type of push and pull type of relationship. It was really fun to watch. Renzo would take one step forward and she would take two back fearing what would happen if he got too close and get underneath her skin, which she knew would be a disaster for her and her heart. I liked seeing the byplay and the playfulness between the two of them where they were able to be their true selves and not hide. Just there was just a lot of cute and funny moments between these two and it was just fun to watch. They knew how to push each others buttons for sure.
The whole playfulness side of their relationship wasn't the only thing to enjoy watching play out before the page, it was also that hot, sexy chemistry that they had for one another. With the whole back and forth thing that was going on, created not only friction emotionally but sexually as well, and it made their steam double in size because of it. It was a will they won't they kind of thing, creating the anticipation as well as the heat between them. It was palatable and felt on every level as a read the words on the page. I knew they were going to have some hot and sexy times ahead for them. But I thought it was great (the build up) and they didn't just start attacking each other and throwing each others clothes off within the first thirty pages. They did kiss early on, which was very steamy and again very much anticipated, but they didn't have an intimate scene together until maybe half way through the book and their arrangement as they became closer and closer to one another. And I thought was good and really well handled, and it felt very believable. So that was great. I like the build up.
Some of the sexy scenes/anticipation scenes weren't even bedroom scenes though, one of my favorite scenes was when Faith massaged his leg, from and old injury, and just how much anticipation was there because I could tell they were both turned on by it. Just the way it was described up the sexual tension and I felt it surround them. And that was great. There were other moments like that as well like when he would brush her hand or they would be sitting close to each other that just upped the tension between them.
When they finally got to the intimate scenes there were more intense because of that anticipation because I could tell that they both wanted each other even though they knew it might have been the best idea to give into their passion, but when they did. They had some sizzling bedroom time. Their first time was just so sweet yet very hot and sexy and the same time and just really showed their connection and not just a physical level. Plus he wanted to make sure her first time was good since he knew it was her first time and he wanted to be her first lover. And it showed how much he did truly care about her in that moment, but it also all the built up tension that finally just exploded on their page as they were wrapped in each other arms. It was a very satisfying scene and a believable one and one definitely wanted to see happen since they had all this mad chemistry going on.
I enjoyed both characters and thought each of them was entertaining in their own way as well as likable. I liked that Faith wasn't a typical virginal, mouse, plain Jane heroine that shrank in corners whenever diversity arose. No, she fought and even when she was pushed down, she dusted herself back off and got right back up again to stand her ground. And that was really nice to see. I also liked about her that she didn't let Renzo get away with things and stood right up against him and held her ground despite the fact that she was deeply attracted to him. She knew how foolish that was and didn't want to be another one of his women so she denied the attraction and fought him and called him out on his lifestyle. When he did finally break down her barriers, it showed how much she did care about him and just how important that he became to her as the man that she fell in love with and show more that vulnerable side of her. I liked seeing both sides to her the softer side and the strong side, making her a complete character in my eyes. It was just amusing to see her kind of push him on ever level and try to fight their connection for a little bit. But I respected her and loved that she wasn't a pushover.
As for him, I liked his determination and strength as well as his softer side especially when it came to Faith. Yes, he was the typical alpha playboy that has graced Harlequin Presents for decades on end, but that very quickly changed once Faith transformed and he saw the women beneath finally for the first time in six months. Once he noticed her transformation he made a transformation himself where he realized his shallow relationships were no longer cutting it for him and needed something else. That connection, which he got with Faith. And once he had that realization, he did anything in his power to get her to agree to engage in an intimate physical relationship. Yes, at first it was about the physical for him but he soon realized that he needed the connection and wanted to know more about her. And aside from the beginning, he didn't demonstrate any jerky behavior where I wanted slap him or roll my eyes or believe at any time that he needed to do some major groveling to Faith. He was really a sweet guy, who just wanted to be worthy of someone after all of his life feeling unworthy because of his father's rejections, which lead to some of his actions. I understood him, which good.

Unnoticed and Untouched wasn't such a compelling read. The prickly heroine wasn't so easy to warm too. I really hated how her backstory wasn't told earlier in the book. Once her backstory was known much later in the story I liked her and the story much more.
The ending was a bit cheesey but I liked the epilogue. I also loved the heroine's parents didn't get a chance at redemption. That happens way too much in romances and the majority of the time the badly behaved parents need a kick to the curb not a hea too.

Another re-read from my distant past that I am glad I revisited.
I absolutely enjoyed “Unnoticed and Untouched”, and I loved the title. Faith and Renzo were an adorable couple. I loved their chemistry and Faith’s no nonsense attitude with Renzo. I’m a MotoGP fan so it was also fun reading a book (loosely) based on that sport.
A fun story and one I’m glad I read again.

I actually enjoyed this one a lot. It was pretty great to read and the characters were fresh. I would of enjoyed knowing more about Faith's family though and having them apologize to her.

Cóż, książka Lynn Raye Harris ma w sobie coś, czego nie znoszę w tego typu harlequinowych romansach. Główny męski bohater w tej historii - Lorenzo D'Angeli - to wyjątkowo antypatyczny charakter, dla którego kobieta to jego własność. Ma dziwny sposób bycia, który skłania go do stwierdzenia, że jego partnerka musi założyć na przyjęcie to, co on jej wybierze, nawet jeśli jej się to nie będzie podobało. Ona - Fath Black - to głupia gąska, która robi to, co powie jej szef (bo jak to tak odmówić szefowi!). Poza tym jest w nim zakochana, choć na początku jeszcze tego nie zauważa u siebie. Właśnie takich sytuacji nie lubię. Toksycznych zachowań, które są pokazywane czytelniczkom jako coś najbardziej normalnego w świecie. Tak się składa, że w prawdziwym życiu prawdopodobnie każda kobieta już dawno posłałaby tego typa do diabła. I mniejsza o te ubrania, mam na myśli ich kłótnię pod koniec książki, gdzie ten typ nawet na jej miłosne wyznanie potrafi zareagować jak pajac...

This is such a powerful and moving story, I couldn't put it down. It hooked me in right from the start -The relationship that develops between the hero and heroine literally has it all; angst, passion, pain, etc. It creates such a wonderful intense mood, that combined with the dark childhood each of them experienced makes this a very compelling story,.
There is plenty of passion and emotion packed into this book, I enjoyed this book a lot.

Oh I loved this. A sexy, emotional hero with self esteem issues caused by his father’s rejection, and a damaged reserved heroine who come together and heal each other so beautifully in a realistic and satisfying way. The motorbike racing was a different setting and I rather enjoyed it. His injury and determination to continue racing was a credible area of conflict.
I like the way this author handles her characters as they behave in a way which seems so much more credible than so many other Mills and Boon protagonists. Renton is not deliberately cruel and in fact he does a great job looking after Faith in so many ways. Faith lacks belief in herself and I thought her sense of shame was totally overdone but her pain from her parents’ reactions was totally believable.
The whole story just flowed beautifully and the sex scenes were gorgeous!

Sap, sap, sap. Least favorite of the Lynn Raye Harris books I've read thus far. In terms of the plot the hero does some growing but I didn't really feel it for some reason. He's just stubbornly sticking to his old ways, and then he's not. The heroine does force him to re-examine things, or at least that's how the plot is set up, but while there's a lot of introspection in this book, there's none when it comes to his change of mind, or at least that's how it felt for me. Maybe I just wasn't into it, I dunno.
Now I think on it, might be because it wasn't one I picked out. Bought it because it was bundled with the one I wanted on Kindle. Read it because it was there.

Ugh, one of those workplace romance novels that totally ignores the fact that it's a workplace or that the heroine has a job - we're told she's irreplaceable but she seems about as effective as a lamp post. Otherwise fine; the hero and heroine both have issues with their parents which but that's occasionally par for the course with category romances.

Strong, clear, effective prose, deftly presented backstory and details of setting, and two mostly appealing leads (I really rather liked the heroine, despite my impatience with some of her insecurities). But I just got bored part-way through, and the story ties up in an uneven, quick way that left me unsatisfied.

I really enjoyed this one by Ms Harris. Although Faith is innocent she is definitely not afraid to stand up for herself and her past misdemeanor only made her strong enough to handle a bad boy like Renzo.

Faith and Renzo were great together. He was a total alpha male. Loved it! It was a great quick read.
