This story is fun, has an interesting plotline, quirky but lovable characters, and some very hot man-on-man action. Slow to build though the physical relationship between Alex and Christian may be, the tension of attraction sizzles between them from the first time they meet. And what I really liked is that it isn't just physical. As different as they are in terms of their chosen fields of robotics and advertising, as close they get when discussing their way of life and what is important to them. ...more

This novella had several things going for it. First, the characters are legit likable. Lately, when I find myself reading something in this genre, for whatever reason I'm only really attached to maybe one or two of the characters. That may or may not be the main characters lol. Anyhoo, yeah I really enjoyed all them in this. They felt very real, quirky, yet approachable. Second, I found this incredibly funny. Not in the tears rolling down your face, hold your sides kind of way, but consisten

Yes, I loved this. Short but brilliant. (Thankfully, there is a continuation).

And also brilliant is the message within,(view spoiler)

Refreshing to see true moral values popping up in romance books. Absolutely brilliant.

I love Alex so much, he is a darling, brilliant man. And Christian is absolutely tops too—only I would

May have slight spoilers.

In The Maker Jock by S.A. McAuley we meet Alex Maddox and Christian Lawson.

I really liked this story by S.A. McAuley, unlike some shorter male/male books that only focus on the sex, we get a lot of really good plot in this—that is not to say there isn’t sex mind you. ;)

Alex Maddox has been living with his twin brother for the last four months as he works on his project for the Maker Summit. He almost has his robot perfect but he needs something else as well, advertising,

This was an enjoyable story, but I've been fortunate enough to beta for Sam and I know she's capable of grab-you-by-the-throat, knock-your-socks-off writing. So I think I might have liked this better if I hadn't yet read anything else by her and gone into it expecting that sort of thing.

This is a sweet story with a fun theme (Maker Faire and robots FTW!). But the characters are almost a little too perfect, even with their flaws. And conflicts are resolved a little too quickly for there to be an

Probably closer to a 4.5 star read. I loved this story and can't wait for the novella the author has promised so I can see more. Alex and Christian were great together and I liked the secondary characters too. All the little tidbits about robots and Makers was something I'd heard about before, but never really knew much about and this book actually made me want find out more. So fun! This is a light and sweet read that I'm sure I'll read again.

I think this might be my favorite story in this collection from Silver. Great, fun characters, and I really loved the storyline (robots!) and progression. Would love to read more about them and Alex's twin

This story was enjoyable. I don't have much to say here. I did like the story in general. Alex was comical and interesting. Even his twin Micah and his parter JT were cool.

Such a cute story! I absolutely adored the twins, and Thor wasn't so bad himself. Being a certified geek myself, I appreciated the humor in the book. Great job.

I don't know why this is classed as a HFN. I was perfectly happy with that ending.
Cute story. I really liked Christian but Alex was a bit high maintenance.

Alex is feeling overwhelmed with his big project. His brother and his boyfriend hook him up with Christian. Christian turns out to be just what he needs as long as he doesn't mess things up. It was cute to see Alex move back and forth between being confident and a messed up anxious mess. I loved the scene at the Maker contest.

Sam sleeps little, reads a lot. Happiest in a foreign country. Twitchy when not mentally in motion.
