苏童，原名童忠贵 ，中国当代著名作家。1980年考入北京师范大学中文系，现为中国作家协会江苏分会驻会专业作家、江苏省作协副主席 。代表作包括《园艺》、《红粉》、《妻妾成群》、《河岸》和《碧奴》等。中篇小说《妻妾成群》入选20世纪中文小说100强，并且被张艺谋改编成电影《大红灯笼高高挂》，获提名第64届奥斯卡最佳外语片，蜚声海内外。
2015年8月16日，苏童《黄雀记》5部作品获第九届茅盾文学奖。 2018年出版合著《好好读书：名家给年轻人的读书课》。
2016年12月，中国作家协会第九届全国委员会委员。
