A diverse group of thinkers present essays of varying quality, but all are interesting, and anyone with any interest in comparative philosophy and ontology/existentialism, particularly in the work of Heidegger, will find something of use in this collection. I'd also recommend Parke's translation of Heidegger's Hidden SOurces.

Pretty impressive collection of scholarly articles on Heidegger's engagement with Asian thoughts. But I'm disappointed by that there is only one article on Japanese philosophers' engagement of Heidegger. All other articles are about how Heidegger interact with Asian thought. Hence a more appropriate title might be "Heidegger ON Asian thought"

This title reads problematic--it's perpetuating the myth that only "western philosophy" is philosophy proper and all others are mere "thoughts" not philosophy.
this kind of dicontextualized comparative philosophy is only good on paper, in reality--it carries on the momentum of Orientalist racist bias
