As an art teacher I enjoy this biographical series in general and find it very helpful in planning art history units for high school students. I found the O’Keeffe book highly informative and engaging. I loved learning about her life experiences, travels, artist connections, inspiration, practices, passion and independence. There are many other picture books that give more visual examples of her work, but this book does a great job of succinctly telling her story, the story behind her artworks and showing how her artwork fits in American art history.
Informational book. Full of facts and information about the life of Georgia O'Keeffe. Also includes details of other supporting information such as maps of where she lived and how life was in New York City in the 1920s when she lived there. It has a table of contents, index and source information.
Glad I read Wideness and Wonder first..this your typical non-fiction book...just the facts...in searching for this book I see the 'author' has a hundred? non-fiction books which makes me question her research methods..
