Married to one of the richest men alive, she was a kidnapping target. But Maggi Sanger-Stuart never took the threat seriously—until she and her baby were abducted. It wasn't her husband's fortune they demanded. No, the notorious Adriano family wanted Maggi's expertise on ancient artifacts—and they'd hold her daughter until Maggi obeyed their orders.
But if Maggi does bring them the mysterious Black Madonna mosaic, the Adrianos will use its legendary power to destroy Europe. Millions will die. Now, with the help of her powerful husband, Maggi has just hours to find the key to the mosaic's power before all she loves is lost forever.
The ultimate book in the series, it draws many threads together into the beginnings of a larger tapestry in a deeply satisfying... not conclusion... but rather a denouement, an untying of many tangled threads.
I rather liked it, and am not all that easy to please.
This was an interesting series and a good ending. Really nice to see all the characters come together in this final book. The evilness reached a new low . Maggi and Lex were a good couple, but I wish I read this closer to the previous series so I would remember those characters more.
What a great book series. This is the last in a series of 7. It should be a movie series. There's adventure, archaeology, intrigue, magic, spies, and murder. Great story!
