In graphic novel format, tells the story of how George Eastman developed the Kodak camera, and how this company changed the way people captured the moments of their lives.
1. I had to go online to see what George Eastman's first photograph looked like in real life. Which led me to looking at the first photograph ever taken. 2. I love these non-fiction graphic novels. They are short but they get to the point and you learn many things in the process. 3. For instance, Kodak was a made up word. 4. I've been to Rochester so it was fun reading about a place I had seen before. 5. I definitely recommend these Graphic Library books to young learners.
This is a fantastically informative and fascinating looking into George Eastman, developer of the Kodak camera. Done in graphic novel format even the most reluctant readers will enjoy and learn from this quick read. Contains lots of information on photography of the late 1800’s and its numerous improvements over 100 years’ time.
Love these Graphic library books in my classroom. I love to do a unit on cameras and movies and this one about George Eastman is great because he is a Rochester icon.
