This book is a comparatively well-written novel which generalizes on history of strikes as they must have been in the first half of the twentieth century. Sad that they probably were so violent and bitter. It includes considerable interesting detail about coal mining techniques and history in Utah including hints about involvement of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The story line is a hasty romance between a Mormon boy and a non-Mormon girl and has to be rated PG-13. ...more
