Trinity Falls Sweet Romance #6

Doctor’s Secret Santa

Rate this book
He’s the town doctor. But a mysterious young widow might be his prescription for true love.

When Dr. Kellan Webb is offered the opportunity to trade in his job at a fancy city hospital and take over the small practice in his hometown, he’s overjoyed. Working one-on-one with patients and raising his son close to his family will more than make up for the pay cut. And Kellan always has a plan for the future. Sure, his brothers might tease him for being so serious all the time, but Kellan knows there’s nothing funny about shouldering his responsibilities like a man.

Then a beautiful young pregnant woman arrives at his house in the middle of the night with a terrified look on her face and snow in her hair, and Kellan’s whole world is turned upside down.

Suddenly, Daisy is working as a receptionist for his practice, winning over his most obstinate new patients to his way of doing things, and turning every meal into a laugh-fest with his lovestruck seven-year-old son. Though she has every reason to be sad and serious, Daisy’s light heart and easy-going nature are putting the whole town under her spell.

The only problem is that Daisy seems to have a secret. And Kellan doesn’t like surprises.

When the truth finally surfaces, will the doctor’s heart be too sick for any shot at love? Or will Daisy’s exuberance be just the medicine he needs?

What do you do when a very pregnant woman is on your doorstep looking for a place to stay for the night?
Dr. Kellan Webb can't let Daisy sleep into her car, so he decides to host her.
This is only the beginning of this nice story, will Daisy find a home in Trinity Falls? Will Kellan learn to trust another woman?

Daisy is really one of the sweetest and kindest woman I've ever read about. Kellan is a very good man, but he fears to open up his heart again. He immediately notices Daisy's beauty and the complicity between her and his young son.
I loved to see their relationship grow, from two strangers to friends, to finally recognise their feelings for each other.

I devoured this book. Clara Pines writing made me feel every emotions her characters feel, the storyline was heartwarming and the ending put a smile on my face.

While this is book six in the Trinity Falls series, you don't have to read the previous ones to understand this one. I still recommend to read more of this author works because they are all good.

I was expecting a hokey hallmark holiday book, which is what I was after. But this book was so much more.
It was absolutely adorable! The spice was a -1. Which isn't something I would usually read, but it popped up on a Facebook ad, and I decided to give it a go! I'm so glad I did!! It was perfect. Lighthearted. Angsty. Fun. Adorable. And face paced!

Dr. Kellan Webb is the new doctor in his hometown of Trinity Falls. He’s a single father who worked at a large fancy hospital. So when the doctor from his hometown decided to retire, he jumped on on board to take over the practice. It has a home attached to the office, so him and his son can finally make a home there. He’s closer to his family and friends, even though he takes a pay cut. This is what he always dreamed of. Now if he can get his patients to accept him. They’ve known him all his life.
One night a young woman knocks on his door. He opens to find a young, very pregnant woman named Daisy. She’s looking for the other doctor. Now since he’s retired, she’s in a pickle. She left her hometown because of the loss of her father and recently, her husband. What will she do? She can’t go back to the horrible memories. Dr. Webb, being such a kind hearted man offers her a room at his home and a job as a receptionist. She takes it until she finds a place for her and the baby. Slowly but surely she changes Kellan and his son life. Daisy is sweet, kind and such a beautiful young woman. The patients love her. So does the town. But Daisy has a secret. She is carrying around lots of cash. She decides the money is a curse since she received it from the company where her husband lost his life. What does she do with the money? What will Kellan think when he finds her money? Kellan doesn’t like secrets. Kellan seems to be drawn to this young woman and it scares him. He’s been hurt before so he’s afraid to love again. What would a young woman want with an older man with a son? Will Daisy stay? She’s already falling for him and his son. Will she find a home for her and her unborn daughter? Will there be a Christmas miracle? Seems there’s been quite a few in Trinity Falls. I loved the characters. Both are strong, independent and lovable. Worth the read. Clara Pines draws you in with her stories. I received this book for my honest opinion. I give it voluntarily.

Doctor’s Secret Santa: Trinity Falls
Sweet Romance - Book 6
By Clara Pines

I saw this advertised on either the Book or the Gram, what made me click to borrow on unlimited was the single dad/holiday/new woman in town (ok and she happened to be pregnant. Don’t ask me why, all I know is I needed to know her back story and I had to find out was a woman playing Santa, because that sounded like it would be a bit of a different kind of story.

Kellan Webb had grown up in Trinity Falls, everyone had known him for years, everyone still thought of him as that boy! Hard enough to put yourself forward and the new town Doctor, harder when everyone brings up your history. You need people to see you as the town Doctor, not the town boy who left and came home a man.

Due to a mix up in time, Daisy Mullen decided to start her new life In Trinity Falls. Her father had always talked about his friend Dr. Wilkinson…she was an RPN and even though she knew her new little one would be arriving soon, getting herself established was the top of her agenda. So when Dr. Kellan Ward answered the door that cold snowy night he had no idea he would be hiring himself a new receptionist/room mate with a secret.

Sweet romances are what I sometimes turn to when I want something soft, happy with a lot of love ….. so when Doctor’s Secret Santa gave me all three, I can honestly say I enjoyed the story. This book is 242 quick pages that has a tad of suspense, some misunderstanding and a sweet holiday story.

We are back in Trinity Falls with another clean, sweet contemporary romance that will touch your hearts.
Dr. Kellan Webb recently moved to Trinity Falls with his young son. He is serious and professional , but fears people still see him as the young paperboy of years gone by. His solemn attitude and determination to have all his patients using a computer portal, has not gain him many patients.
Daisy Mullen, a young pregnant widow, has left behind her sorrows and the dying town she grew up in, determined to meet up with her father’s war buddy, Dr. Wilkinson. Not aware that he has retired and sold his practice to Kellan, she finds herself alone and unsure of her future and that of her unborn child.
Kellan invites her to stay with him and his son and offers her a job. Little did he realize she would be the one to bring patients back to the doctor’s office with her caring manners and that she would also win the hearts of his son and his.
But what happens when he accuses her without proof or knowing the facts?
This engaging plot reminds us that we shouldn’t judge people by their appearance or their past. That kindness wins people over, and that second chances in life and love do exist.
The author delivered another delightful story in this much loved series.

It was a good book with lovely storyline, especially the secret santa project and how Daisy made Benny understand the joy of anonymous help to bring a little bit of happiness to someone in need.

Kellan was a good guy, didn't hesitate to help Daisy when she showed up. And his relationship with his son could be the father son relationship goal.

Benny was a sweetheart from the to go when he embraced a virtual stranger with open arms. And gave such good relationship advice throughout.

My only miff, again the misunderstanding arc in the 3rd act to separate the protagonists to bring them back together later on. From Kellan's POV, he had the right to question Daisy bout something suspicious because his son's life was entangled with this situation. But the poorly written accusations Daisy hurled towards Kellan, the guy who gave her shelter, food and job were totally uncalled for. And then storming away. I didn't like that part at all. Especially because Daisy was portrayed as a levelheaded and generous person in most of the book. So her going off on Kellan didn't make sense to me.
I think readers by now have matured enough to understand communication is the key to a great relationship, instead of miscommunication is the key to create suspense and heartache to make hearts grow fonder so the reunion is more meaningful.

Another winner and must read from Clara Pines. This is a make you feel good romance. This was the absolute perfect book for me to read right now. It happens around my favorite time of year Christmas. Another bonus it's a single dad romance and that's my reading jam. I always love my visits to Trinity Falls. This town is one I really wish I could visit to. Every book I read that takes place during the holiday season makes Trinity Falls sound so magical. Daisy is at a crossroads in life and her path has taken this pregnant widow to Trinity Falls. She wants a fresh start from all the loss and heartache left behind. Kellan and Benny are about to get a huge dose of sunshine in their lives with Daisy. Sometimes the most unexpected things are the most unexpected blessings. Little Benny is so adorable! He is Daisy's little partner in crime. Benny is going to steal your heart right away. I love how the town took Daisy under their wing and show what kindness this town has to offer. This was a book that was hard to put down. The characters had me gobbling up the pages. Such a sweet story that would make any romantic heart happy sigh. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

Another Delightful, Heartfelt story in the Trinity Fall Sweet Romance Series. Ms. Pines books are such a breath of fresh air. The storylines are heartwarming and always give this reader a cozy, sitting around the fireplace with friends and family vibe. It’s a series I’ve read through twice so far and can’t wait for more.

Doctor’s Secret Santa fits right in. The characters are well defined and will make you feel like you’ve known them for years. The Grumpy Doc, his precocious son and the happy upbeat receptionist will have you smiling, laughing and hoping for a very happy ending for everyone. They all have their issues, don’t we all, but with Ms. Pines doing the story telling you know there's going to be a silver lining or perhaps an over the moon and back ending.

If you like a good, clean, romantic small town book, you MUST grab up this series. You won’t regret one page let alone one book. They are all standalone and you won’t be lost if you don’t read them in order. But this reader Highly recommends them all, as the characters do overlap.

2 Thumbs Up and 5+++ Stars

5 Star review Doctor's Secret Santa (Trinity Falls Sweet Romance #6) by Clara Pines
I love my visits to Trinity Falls, these stories are romantic, sweet with characters whose stories you cannot help but become invested in.
Doctor's Secret Santa was a fabulous addition to the series and is Dr. Kellan Webb and Daisy Mullen’s story. Daisy heads to Trinity Falls in the hope of making a fresh start, pregnant and alone she has nowhere else to go. When she lands on Kellan’s doorstep the gruff but caring doctor offers her sanctuary and a job.
I adored Kellan’s son Benny what a cute little boy who captured not only Daisy’s heart but mine as well.
Having familiar faces make an appearance added an additional layer to the story line. This book is full of heart and soul and ticked all the boxes for me and left me with a smile on my face.

I’m loving my visits to Trinity Falls and single dad Dr Kellan Webb and Daisy Mullen’s journey is a wonderful addition to this series.
Daisy has no idea what to expect when she heads to Trinity Falls to start a new life apart from remembering her father telling her about the local doctor. Arriving on the doctors doorstep she finds out there’s a new doctor in town but with nowhere to go she asks if she could stay for just one night. What follows is a sweet, heartwarming and at times heartbreaking story that ticked all my boxes.
I loved everything about this read, Daisy and Kellan are easy to relate with but it was an adorable little boy named Be by that stole the show and my heart. If you are looking for a read that will make you smile and leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy look no further than Doctor’s Secret Santa.

What a heartwarming story!! Loved being back in Trinity Falls. This time we get Dr. Kellan Webb who has recently returned to work in a small town and is a single father to Benny. Daisy is looking to return to this small town and get in touch with her father’s friend she arrives at the Doctors house only to find he is retired and Kellan and Benny are living there. Daisy is widowed and trying to move forward in her life. She is honest, heartwarming and a joy. She has a beautiful outlook on life, giving, cares for others and loves wholeheartedly. Benny falls first but a series of events transpire and Kellan is left wondering what happened and where he fits in life. A happy ever after just might happen if Kellan and Daisy can learn to trust in themselves. Wonderful story. Can’t wait for the next book. 5+ stars.

I have really been enjoying the Clara Pines Trinity Falls sweet Christmas romance series, and I think this might be my favorite book in the series so far! Kellan Webb is a doctor who traded in city life to move back to his hometown and become a country doctor. Unfortunately, this cost him his marriage as his wife only wanted big city life, fancy dinners and living in a pricy condo. He has custody their 6 year old son, who was absolutely adorable.

I really loved Daisy, who came to town looking for a job from her father’s old friend, and wound up renting a room with Kellan and his son. Daisy is in her final month of pregnancy, and received a settlement after the death of her husband, but wants to give the money away. Seeing her and Benny find ways to donate the money to those in need was one of the most heartwarming parts of the book. Loved this one! 5/5 stars.

Doctor's Secret Santa is such a cute read. I loved this one so much. Daisy is such a sweetheart that is down on her luck. I love her big heart so much. She is fantastic with Kellan's son Benny. Kellan is a little set in his ways, single dad, small town doctor. He wants to bring his patients into modern times so it is easier to help in emergency cases. I love how Kellan is with his son and his patients. Daisy and Kellan have this sweet chemistry that just grows throughout this entire read. I love them together so much. Daisy has a big heart and with Benny's help she's ready to spread the holiday cheer. This is such a sweet read that will own a piece of your heart. You need to meet Kellan and Daisy today.

Kellan and Daisy's story is the sweetest story. I love the fact that Daisy was teaching Benny about giving to the people in need and not letting everyone know that they were the ones that did it. There are such amazing life lessons in this book. One is do not judge anyone, and another is, do not boast. I also like the fact that Benny didn't get everything he wanted even though his dad was a Dr. This is absolutely a phenomenal job by Clara Pines. I am going to be so sad when this series ends. OMG I can't even describe how much I loved this book! From the second I started reading it I was pulled into the world of Trinity Falls. I absolutely loved the characters in this book. Kellan, Daisy and Benny all took a piece of my heart in this story. It was a fast, sweet story about finding your home in a small town. Even though the steam factory was low, the chemistry between Daisy and Kellan was incredible. I enjoyed the storyline and the writing was wonderful. It is a must read book for sure! By Alisa

I very much enjoyed this story. I like the relationships between the 3 main characters, as well as the townspeople. Daisy is likable, but she is almost too perfect, whereas I love Kellan with all his good traits and his imperfections. One thing I would have liked to have seen in this book is a resolution to a couple of the plot points that I feel were left unresolved, but they weren't critical. As always, I am looking forward to the next book by Clara Pines.

Another sweet story from Clara Pines!

Was so excited that serious Kellen Webb was getting his own story. From the moment he met Daisy, his and his son's lives were brightened. Her positive, helpful attitude brought joy and sparkle. There were so many cute moments such as making wings together or the trees for the office. One of my favorite segments about Benny's loose tooth reminded me so much of my child at that age. It was one of those moments that made Daisy and Kellan's relationship seem so true to life. This new installment in the Trinity Falls series is a winner!

Doctor’s Secret Santa

Really cute Christmas story. Dr. Kellan Webb accepted a position to take over as the town doctor in Trinity Falls where he grew up. He is a divorced single dad trying to do the best he can for his son and his practice. When Daisy shows up on his doorstep looking for the previous Doctor in the middle of the night; being very pregnant, scared and cold, he can do nothing else but hire her to work for him and allow her the spare room temporarily until she can get settled. Neither of them realized how much they would grow to care for each other.

Daisy & Kellan's story unfolded a little differently than the other stories in the series & I loved it! Daisy has a secret, and Kellen can't let it affect his son, Benny. But Daisy is such a kind, loving , considerate person & she has such a positive effect on Benny, Kellan is sure he must be mistaken when he fears the worst about Daisy, but he knows he can't take the chance. Unraveling Daisy's secret & his feelings for her made for a fabulous book. I hope Ms. Pines will write another book with a similar element of suspense because I enjoyed it very much!

Doctor’s Secret Santa is the perfect story for the Trinity Falls Sweet Romance series! It is an emotional story with many twists and turns. Sadie and Kellan were perfect for each other. Although they had some misunderstandings that were worked out in the end. I loved Kellan’s son Benny! Daisy teaches Benny how important to give to others. I have loved every book in this series! I’m going to be sad to see it end. Thank you Clara for such a wonderful series!

The Doctor's Secret Santa is a delightful small town story. The two main characters, Kellan and Daisy are vulnerable and easy to like and perfect for each other. They have each gone through heartache and are just surviving. They are good people and deserve to be happy. This is an uplifting story, that kept me spellbound as I quickly turned the pages to find out what would happen. I was rooting for Kellan and Daisy to find their HEA with each other.

Loved this book, it had a little bit of everything. It is clean and you don’t have to worry about any bad language or graphic love scenes. I’ve read this whole series and it doesn’t disappoint. This series has usually a single mom or dad, well this one has both, eventually. I was hoping he would see Daisy for the wonderful person she was, eventually 😊. Great ending and at first was disappointed there wasn’t an epilogue, but it you sign up for her newsletter you’ll find one there. Nancy H

Wonderful romance!

Clara Pines does such a great job with these stories in Trinity Falls. Kellan's family wasn't familiar to me, though I remembered hearing of Timber Run. But I read a lot of books & forget characters often. I loved the backstory of Daisy's backpack. Kellan's discovery wasn't at all as surprised, so I was a little disappointed at such an obvious conclusion made by him. Otherwise, I loved everything in the story. This is a very enjoyable clean romance.

Loving this author and her stories

Daisy lived in a mining town but when one accident made her lose her Dad and then another took her husband, she decided it was time to move on. Her Dad told her about a Dr friend of his, so she went to look him up.

Can Daisy find her happy ever after and take care of the baby she is carrying. Check out the story.
