When a mysterious stranger arrives in a chaotic land without time, he separates nights from days and minutes from hours only to find that people remain dissatisfied
This is a very special book. The author, Anna Riphahn, wrote and illustrated it when she was only 13 years old. This colorful book is beautiful and has a very sweet story. Also, look for her black and white cat hidden somewhere in each page!
Anna was sort of a small-town celebrity where she grew up in Topeka, Kansas. When she was only 17, she died in a car accident. I went to the same middle and high schools as she did, though I was a bit younger than her, and my teachers continued to reminisce about her talent as an artist and her zest for life.
After she died, her parents set up a scholarship in her memory. I was honored with this scholarship and with it a copy of this book. I recommend it to children everywhere. Anna was an inspiring individual, and her book is a lovely time capsule to hold her memory.
