This was the fastest read so far in the series. Alex and her team learn that her previous intern has disappeared. What no one has put together yet is that there are various specialty teams that have gone missing, all over the world, and they are from different countries. She leans on her friendships from over the years, bringing in people in particular disciplines to hunt down and track this world security risk. Undermining all her work is the US Government who has yanked her funding and is requiring the team, including The Fey, to testify in front of a council about the previous work of the team. Distractions aside, there is time for family and cementing friendships. Tons of action, heaps of suspense, and a variety of imaginative ways to get around the rules set for her & her team.

This book was really great; with just enough paranormal, romance, suspense, and action. Unfortunately, if you are unable to overlook typos, grammatical errors, and such this isn't the book for you. Also, at times the story can be difficult to follow and a little confusing. I think with a better editor and a little polishing on consistency or the flow this author and series could have been mind blowing. Even with all the mistakes and confusion; it will still make it to my favorites list. I think that says it all. Something about this series really captures me (pun intended). Again, if you are a stickler for grammar, the flow, etc... you will have a hard time appreciating this series

It took me a while to start this one because I knew that once I started, I wouldn't be able to put it down. I was correct! This was another amazing installment of the Alex the Fey story, and I loved every page of it. I love the action, suspense, and the romance between Alex and John - all of it. I was so sad that Dahlia died so tragically, but I like the story of Troy and the boys learning to be part of the larger Fey family. I also absolutely love the way we learn more about the Alex's dad's friends. And I loved the ending! I cannot wait for the next installment!

June 2, 2020i just love the fey,sometimes i wonder if this story is partially a true story,alex had to learn to lean on others but finds it hard to as she feels if she does then they would die....
