The purpose behind this book is to help the reader understand and stimulate the right side of the brain, which is most active in creativity. She gives examples of many people in many different fields of work, not just ones that are traditionally thought of a artsy or creative. She also includes 67 exercises that will help tap into the right side of your brain. Ideally, a person would do 11 exercises a day for 6 days in a row. This was a little time consuming for me with my schedule right now, but I did do one or two exercises a day and found them really quite powerful. I was surprised at the intensity of emotion I felt, even just on the first day. My right brain revealed a lot about myself that I was completely blind to before. The desired end result being that a person can awaken their right brain any time they may need that creative insipration. These exercises really worked and I found the explanatory portion of the book very interesting to read. I will definately keep this one on my shelf for future reference.
Best read ever in my entire life. Read it in my early twenties and gained the ability to choose my dreams, mind you; I hadn't even gone though half of it. Lost the book in KZN and the ability quickly faded away. I'm forty now and just stumbled upon it on the net.
Now I need to know how to download it. Asap. Please help.
A good book to affirm the right brain and its importance in creativity. I especially enjoyed the interviews and personal examples. The exercises were interesting but would require a lot of work. It would be better to take a class to incorporate the lessons in these exercises, but they were worth reading through to the end.
