A friend and I have been working through this series as a Bible study together. This book was fantastic. It really got into some hard issues and soul searching. My disclaimer with the first book was that someone should really have, not only an accountability partner, but also a supporter while working through the book (especially if your purpose for going through the book is working through recovery). This holds true, but perhaps moreso for this book.
I thought this installment hit some hard issues even more directly and required some heavy reminiscing that could trigger heavy emotions. Which is the point! But don't go it alone.
The content of this book alone I would rate a PG.

Book Two is the most in-depth book and covers the fourth principle: Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust. "Happy are the pure in heart.” Matthew 5:8a TEV. And the fourth step of the twelve steps: 4. We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves. Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. Lamentations 3:40 NIV.

Taking An Honest & Spiritual Inventory. This book is a harder step in the Celebrate Recovery 12-Step journey. This one asks the participants to take an inventory of everyone they’ve ever hurt, anyone who has ever hurt them, and how they intend to go about making amends with each of those situations. It asks the participants to share their inventory with a sponsor or accountability partner. I remember sharing this inventory with a close friend , who at the time I barely knew, and baring our souls to each other. It was quite an emotional experience.

Great recovery tools
These set of four books are a great way to find recovery for anything that encumbers your life. Part of the celebrate recovery program.

Very tough to look inward and resist all the hurts that have lead me to unhealthy habits and hang ups. This series is helping me to heal and truly feel closer to God

Skimmed through once to get the overall idea and now I have to go through it again more slowly and reflectively from the beginning and do the exercises.

It has been 4 years since I went through the CR program. It was absolutely life changing! I have felt the need for a bit of a refresher course so I'm glad the workbooks are available through Amazon. I will say though that if you haven't been through the program, you need to find a local church that runs one. It's vitally important to go through with others. This is not a solitary journey. Also, CR isn't just for people dealing with substance abuse issues. It's for ANYONE dealing with hurts, hangups or habits - which is pretty much everyone!

Volume 2, which I’ve heard is the most difficult, is complete! Thank you Lord for Your endurance!
I made a searching and fearless moral inventory of myself, which was not easy. Digging into all the bad (and good!) from my past. Openly examining my hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
