The first half, going over the history of the band and Jones’ turbulent relationship when them, was great. I didn’t know how aggressively they were trying to push him out.

The parts which get into the actual theory of foul play are fascinating, and do seem to point to something fishy, but the way they’re written feels a little coercive to the point that it’s hard to be totally convicted about it.

I file this under the HOLLYWOOD BABYLON style of pop culture underworld book - not necessarily all true but still painting a picture and very entertaining to read. I couldn’t put this book down!

I enjoyed reading this book when it came out back in the 90s. Its a good rockumentary about Brian Jones, the pioneer of the Rolling Stones and how he lived his life in the spotlight and decandece of the 60s.

It also informs the reader that Brian was murdered instead of the known fact that it was a drug overdose/drowning.

Being a Stones fan I bought this as soon as it came out. It's a good read but it loses some stars because it's just kind of conjecture as to how exactly Brian drowned and who knows if the anonymous guy interviewed in the book was really there and really saw what happened. His death definitely could've happened the way he described it but ultimately who knows?

Good read if you were there at the time. Interestingly the person that the finger pointed at in this book admitted to the murder on his death bed, allegedly.
