I loved this book and can't wait for the next in the series. Jessica Lee is an author you can expect great things from!

Marguerite turned Kenric with every intention of mating with him, and sharing his master vampire powers. Instead, Kenric refused her advances and she killed his fiancée.

Vampire or not, you would drive me crazy wanting to control my life. Been there, done that. Got the T-shirt, memories, and bruises from the trip. Not going back.

This is a quote from Undying Destiny (38% of my Kindle, the emphasis is mine), and I think it represents this book quite well. You can't say much against it, but there's not much you can say to recommend it either.

The writing is nice, but unfortunately the story, the plot, the characters are so much deja-read to be almost impossible

Undying Destiny started of very angry, and that made it a bit hard for me to get into. While it was descriptive enough to make me “feel” the anger of the character, it made me hesitant to read further. By chapter six, it seems to be nothing more than a knock-off of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Although the details were different, the concept is the same…a group of warrior vampires living and working together to protect the vampire and human civilians. If you’ve read the BDB series you wi ...more

Undying Destiny was fantastic! I have read a lot of paranormal romance this year, and this was easily one of my favorites. I read it in one day, leaving my kids to eat lunchables and cereal all day because I did not want to put the book down!

The story begins introducing us to Kenric, who was unwilling turned into a vampire 300 years ago and is leader of the Enclave. He is all of the things we love in our leading men, handsome, strong, companionate....and a vampire! Emily Ross is a fe

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review and I honestly loved it. Kenric is a vampire and Emily is a human. I love romance and vampires, so I really loved Kenric and Emily's romance. When Kenric was hurt, he was brought to the er where Emily works as a nurse. When he woke up, he realized he needed to drink because he was weak, so he drank some of Emily's blood and that was it, he was a goner. He only thought he knew what love was. He soon realized that he was in love with Emily, of c ...more
I really tried to like this book, I did, but It was just too much for me. I like dominant heroes but this one was way too controlling. If I had been Emily, I might have been tempted to stake Kenric myself!

On the plus side the writing is good and the story telling flows nicely. Loads going on in the book but my dislike of the hero really colored my feelings. But there are plenty of girls out there who like the controlling fantasy man, no other explanation for 50 shades popularity. If

I loved Desire to Die For by Jessica Lee. Before venturing into this new series, I read a few complaints from other reviewers that this book was nothing new...already done by other authors like J.R. Ward. While I appreciate Wards' writing talent, I was eventually turned off by her Lover series because she writes more urban fantasy than romance. She also builds a high level of suspense and anxt. This isn't a critique against Wards' writing, just saying it's not the style I enjoy in my reading exp ...more

I presume you know what the book is about. I'm letting you know what I liked or disliked about it.

Jessica Lee is a new favorite author of mine. Her style of writing absolutely sings to my "inner reader". Exactly the right amount of heat, intensity, adventure - you name it - and in any order. The only thing I dislike about her work is the stories are too short.

JL is absolutely every bit as talented a writer as the big name's out there and bold in the most lovely way. Anyone blessed e

I was hooked from this first sentence...

"Whoever you are, you'd best have a damn good reason to continue breathing," Kenric rumbled.

I was completely drawn in to the world of Kenric St. James and Emily Ross. The sexual tension between them was tangible as the story unfolded, and their characters were realistic and believable.

Undying Destiny has a bit of everything thrown into it - romance, angst, suspense, action and violence and a touch of humour - but all in

Ok I had a hard time getting into this book at first. I felt like I was supposed to know the characters already and that maybe I was missing something but after the first few chapters it seemed to morph into a collage of all my favorite books. It was Fifty Shades meets The House of Night(for grown ups) meets Twilight meets Queen of the Dammed. It's got action, suspense, drama, intrigue, love, lust and everything in between.

I just love a good vampire romance book, but this was WOW..I absolutley loved it from start to finish. It was full of action and romance. What more could you want. An absolute page turner. I hope there is a follow up story, as I would love to find out what happens to Marguerite and how Kenric and Emily are getting on....

A highly recommended read

This first book in The Enclave series, has many points in common with the most popular series Midnight Breeds by Lara Adrian or The Blackdagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward.
Set in the present day, we read about a group of vampire warriors, The Enclave, with its leader Kenric; they fight in the streets against the other vampires who kill innocent humans, unaware of the existence of these creatures.
There are many similarities, but also some differences from the series I mentioned earlier,

To be fair, the book was ok. There were parts of the story I loved and others I did not. The author really could not capture my attention long. I found myself wishing it was over or that Marguerite would win. Parts were a little drawn out for me. I was begging for some kind of action. I did like all the characters. I just felt that something was missing from the story for me. Perhaps it was lack of action. I felt that all the parts of the story were there, but the author just didn't execute. Ken ...more

My fence book....I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. I'm not going to do a review that talks about the blurb, I'm just going into why this is a fence book. Emily and Kenric had zero chemistry, spark, or flame. Emily had been badly damaged from an ex boyfriend and it shows. Kenric was living for revenge against his sire Margeurite, and protecting the human race. He spent the better part of the book fighting his attraction for Emily. T

A wild ride! Action, of all kinds, pulls you along fast in this story!

Strong Alpha male meets strong female. Never a dull second in this book! Good vampires versus evil vampires with a hot love story in the mix.

Undying Destiny Jessica Lee.

ARC supplied by Entangled.

Vampires - tick, romance - tick, OK time to get lost into a novel hopefully. And yes, I did get lost in this book – in a good way of course.
Emily – works in a hospital, is on her way to a night shift when she finds an injured man. She stops to help him, calls for ambulance and carries on to work. At the end of her shift she checks on him, near to death everyone had thought...but its Kenric, and his vampire body has almost healed

I've never really been into novels about vampires or anything paranormal for that matter, but when I saw the chance to review Undying Destiny I decided to give it a try. The first thing I loved was the cover. Obviously you should never judge a book by its cover but in this case it fit perfectly with this book.

This story is about Emily Ross. She's a nurse that is looking to start over after ending a relationship with a man who abused her. She's been broken down one to many times and v
