The dynamic founder of Garden Grove, California's Crystal Cathedral distills a lifetime of motivational wisdom into eight powerful principles. Addressing goals, priorities, planning, commitment, timing, fortitude, and more, Robert Schuller's practical, upbeat lessons guide readers to see and seize the unlimited possibilities within themselves.
Robert Harold Schuller was an American Christian televangelist, pastor, motivational speaker, and author. He was ordained as a minister, who rocketed to stardom in 1955 preaching from the roof of a concession stand at the drive-in movie theatre, displaying a passion and a marketing towards other people. He had been incorporating elements of psychology, into each of his messages and for many in the Christian community, he was serving up a "feel-good gospel" and that the money he was spending on buildings was to be put to better use by giving it to the poor.
"People can block you, friends can overprotect you, forces my frustrate you, enemies my obstruct you, families my discourage you, and yet will never fail until you make the decision to quit"..god i wish i have known this earlier..
A decent self-help book. Comes from a Christian perspective. Full of anecdotes from successful people. I liked the writing style, with lots of alliteration.
Book of divine wisdom and practical teachings. Reverend Schuller wrote with compassion and intelligence. His teachings on positivity have stayed with me some. I definitely recommend this book.
