Amazingly well researched and produced book - worth a high price if you are interested in making gowns. The most interesting part are the patterns after each section showing you how she worked...
This is reall an incredible book-- a history of the designer Vionnet, together with fabulous photos. The author has created small scale patterns of many of Vionnet's designs, which I have had pretty good luck interpretting into full scale clothing. Terrific!
