I love VeggieTales. I really do! But this book was a disappointment. The presentation of colors in Junior's world was cute, but the book just plain didn't flow well. At. All. Very disappointing. It does stand strong in its beliefs by not hesitating to mention God as creator, but I just couldn't make this one work. Bummer.

I love the VeggieTales and feel that children should be exposed to Our Father in Heaven.

I think that religion should be in every school - regardless of whether it is church or state.

I am digressing. Sorry.

I wanted to like this book so much.

But I didn't. It is supposed to be a book about colors.

The colors mentioned should be objects little ones are familiar with.

If a child hasn't ever seen the television show, they are not going to know who Laura the Carrot, Junior, Jimmy Gourd, or Bob are.

My children and I love this book, I actually have it memorized after reading a few times. This makes storytelling so much more fun for the kids. They love the pictures and the rhyme. I would recommend.
