i thorougly enjoyed it, such a fun old fashioned radio play. not the best story and at times rather sexist yet that didn't ruin it for me somehow.

The Paul Temple mysteries were one of the BBC's most popular radio series from 1938 to 1969. Paul Temple and the Vandyke Affair was originally created in 1950 and is an eye-opening experience for those in 2016! The characters are so insanely polite and 'proper' and the sexism so rampant that I wanted to slap the lot of them at one time or another. Re-read 13 Oct 2013.

23 Sep 2008: This is a great Paul Temple mystery about a child that goes missing but, in true Paul Temple fashion, ends up being about so much more than that. It has all the elements in it that make Paul Temple mysteries so appealing, some car crashes (Steve ending up in a river), red herrings, plenty of confusion, some dead people and interestingly, a few bashed up women! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
