So now I am not sure it is this exact book I listened to in CDs, since I returned them to the library and did not write down the author.
The one I Did listen to was LB: life, love and death in Renaissance Italy.
Typical Biography when some events are repeated since they have a record of the same event from a couple of sources. I enjoyed this otherwise.

This book gives a quite complete historical perspective on the influence of the Borgias. Lucrezia is shown as a typical woman of her time, subject to the political machinations of the men in her family and used as a marital pawn to secure alliances with other powerful factions.

All in all, not bad. It drifted quite a lot at times, but interesting nevertheless to separate truth from fiction.
