Mad, Bitter, Angry, Saved, Hurt, and Restored

My purpose for sharing my personal story is to inspire those who are hurt to know Jesus and receive all that he died for us to have. The freedom that the Lord offers is for those who are lost, mad, bitter, angry, and hurt. I pray that those who read this book will know that the Word of God contains the answer to every situation that can be encountered. The Word of God is powerful and has the capability of restoring and mending relationships. For anyone who has been molested, raped, hurt, persecuted, and void of hope, I encourage you to read this book. Hear and allow God to minister to you. He wants to help you to become the person that he died for you to be. Don't live in bondage. Now is the time for you to break free and take your life back! You are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and no problem is bigger than God.

In MAD, BITTER, ANGRY, SAVED, HURT AND RESTORED by LaVonda Rita Campbell, readers learn about the troubles that she's had to overcome. As a child, LaVonda was molested and raped, causing her to become mad, bitter, hurt and angry early on. It was hard for her to trust, love and respect, therefore she found herself involved in drugs, gangs and even jail. As LaVonda grew up, she learned about God. Though she continued to reject Him, He continued to save her life and try to help her realize her worth. Will LaVonda eventually get on a path of being restored and saved?

MAD, BITTER, ANGRY, SAVED, HURT AND RESTORED reads more like an inconsistent diary than that of a book. LaVonda shares key parts of her life, but many times she leaves out too many of sequences of events and just gets to the rising action. Then it becomes preachy, as if she's telling readers how to resolve their situation, if it's relevant to them, using her method.

While the story is interesting and insightful, I wish that LaVonda would've utilized the aid of an editor for grammar, punctuation and development. This story has a lot of layers and depth, but in its current state, readers get the crib notes version.
