Served my purpose. At least it was short; taught me the basics in record time. And the projects looked like they were actually worth doing.

I would have liked more pointers on the best starting place yarn type and needles, but instead of that it goes a bit into the history of knitting to set it in context and that more than makes up for it. The rest can be googled.
