Avijit Dutta is a senior Supply Chain Management (SCM) professional. In his 20 years of experience, he worked with renowned organizations namely TCS, IBM, and Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) and served roles across value chain: center of excellence, delivery management, business development, consultancy, engineering, and operations management. He has successfully led transformational projects on technology for many Fortune 500 customers across the globe and industries.

In his current role at TCS, Avijit leads their Global SAP SCM Center of Excellence and advises customers on SCM strategy, provides consulting services and creates service delivery models. In his earlier roles at TCS he executed implementations, rollouts, support and transformational projects in SAP technology for multiple global customers. In his tenure at IBM he managed their delivery management and business development for their Global Business Services unit. Before transition to the IT Industry, he led production shop-floor at SAIL, one of the world's largest steel manufacturing company, which helps him apply technology to business realities.

Avijit is a thought leader in SCM. He has authored books, published articles and whitepapers, mentored associates and lectures regularly on SCM. Avijit has been recognized for SCM expertise by his company and customers alike. He maintains a strong interest in business transformation through technology solutions that continues to innovate and continues to make a difference to business and life.

In his academic pursuits, Avijit holds a B.Tech and a PGDM. He is a PMP from PMI and has numerous other certifications.

Avijit is a voracious reader. He reads across IT and business management as also classic literature for e.g. philosophy & autobiography. His hobbies include indigenous music (folk, blues & classical), thought provoking movies (Art films, European new wave cinema etc.), travelling to historical places.

Avijit believes in balance and harmony of everything around him. He firmly believes in continuous learning and looks for multiple avenues of learning i.e. reading, experiential. He owes his success to his family, friends, colleagues and clients who facilitated his passion and expertise for all accomplishments.
